Work

Two projects running in parallel at SEB right now. On one, the initial research phase is done and we are now in stakeholder conversations figuring out the right problem to solve before moving forward. On the other, the design and usability work is complete and I am finalizing the output with active refinement discussions happening with the product team.

Reading

Currently reading the Planet Money Book. Before that finished The Summer Book by Tove Jansson and The Correspondent by Virginia Evans during vacation, really enjoyed them both.

Travel

Two weeks in Turkey in September, lots of rest, swimming and sunbathing. Good to recharge. Day trip to Helsinki for the Into Design Systems meetup at the start of October. Not much traveling for the rest of the month.

Thinking about

Still following the AI in design space closely. Attended the Into Design Systems meetup in Helsinki earlier this month, a day trip well spent. A lot of the conversation there touched on AI in design work. Seeing other organizations (even traditional ones like banks) openly sharing what they are learning makes me think more about where things are headed and what it means to not be moving yet. Also trying to take more writing offline, picked up some notebooks to capture notes and thoughts away from the screen.
